Steve Harmon Reiki & Acupressure Paradise Point, QLD

Hands-On Healing for Pain Relief, Deep Rest & Mental Clarity

Your body and mind are constantly responding to the demands of everyday life.

My hands-on approach combines gentle acupressure and energy-based practices to support pain relief, deep relaxation, mental clarity and a greater sense of balance and emotional wellbeing.

Fully clothed. Gentle touch. No manipulation.

Who this is for

Why people come in.

Most people arrive because something specific isn't working not necessarily because they're interested in energy healing, not because they have all the answers, and not always because they even know exactly what's wrong. They simply know they don't feel right and they're ready to explore a different approach.

Running on empty

The kind of tired that doesn't seem to disappear, even after a good night's sleep. Many people notice their breathing naturally slowing and their body beginning to relax as they settle into the session.

Pain that hasn't shifted

Neck, shoulders, back and other areas of ongoing tension or discomfort. Sometimes people have tried various approaches with some improvement, but the issue hasn't fully resolved. Exploring a different perspective can be another option.

Can't switch off

A busy mind, constant thinking or feeling like you simply can't relax. Many people become deeply relaxed during a session, with some naturally falling asleep. Feeling calmer and more rested afterwards is something clients commonly report.

Carrying too much

Stress, emotional overwhelm, grief or simply feeling like you've been holding everything together for too long. Sometimes you don't need another thing to do you need somewhere to pause, breathe and let go.

Feeling stuck or disconnected

You may not have one specific problem. You may simply feel flat, unsettled, disconnected or unlike yourself. Creating space to slow down can sometimes be the first step towards reconnecting with yourself.

When life has changed

Periods of transition, loss, uncertainty or significant life changes can affect us physically, mentally and emotionally. A session provides a supportive space to pause, reflect and reconnect during times when life feels unsettled.

When you've tried other approaches

Many people who come to me have already explored physiotherapy, massage, meditation, counselling or other approaches.

Sometimes these have helped to a degree, but the person may still feel that something hasn't fully shifted for them.

That's often when people become open to exploring something different — another perspective and another way of working with themselves.

You don't have to know exactly what you need

You don't need to arrive with the perfect explanation, and you don't need to know which modality is right for you.

Together, we explore what you're experiencing and what you need on the day, then create a session around you.

Sometimes you don't need to try harder. You simply need to try something different.

The mechanism

How it actually works.

Your autonomic nervous system is constantly responding to what's happening around you and within you. One part is associated with the body's stress response — increased alertness, muscle tension, changes in breathing and heightened arousal — while another is associated with rest, digestion and recovery.

When we're under ongoing pressure, it can sometimes become difficult to truly switch off. The body can remain tense, the mind can stay busy, and genuine rest can feel harder to access.

My sessions are designed to create the conditions for slowing down: a quiet environment, gentle sustained touch, a predictable sequence, focused attention, and a practitioner who is fully present with you.

Together, these elements can support a sense of safety, relaxation and connection, giving you the opportunity to pause, settle and reconnect with yourself.

What Steve brings

My approach is also shaped by my own experience. Through my years in the Australian Defence Force and security, remaining calm and composed under pressure was part of the environment I worked in. That experience taught me the importance of presence, awareness, grounding and staying regulated when situations become demanding.

Today, I bring that same sense of calm presence into my practice. I don't see my role as simply performing a technique. I create a space where you can slow down, feel supported and reconnect with yourself.

It's more than one modality

The way I work isn't based on Reiki alone. Over the years, my practice has evolved into an integrated approach combining Fusion Acupressure, Reiki, Medical Qi Gong and Energy Medicine.

I draw from these approaches according to the individual rather than following exactly the same process with everyone.

There is no one-size-fits-all session.

You don't have to believe

You don't have to arrive believing in Reiki, energy or any particular healing philosophy. In fact, many people who come to me are simply curious. Some are unsure. Some are openly sceptical. That's completely okay.

Belief isn't a requirement. An open mind is enough.

My aim isn't to convince you of anything. It's to give you an experience, create space for you to slow down, and allow you to discover what the experience means for you.

You don't have to believe in what I do to give yourself permission to experience it.

One session. See how you feel.

Sessions are 60–90 minutes. Fully clothed. We start with a short intake conversation.
